Ichigaya Gold – Gameplay Video

It’s a h264 encoded mp4 file that is being streamed.

Leave a comment or something if you have problems viewing the video. It’s ~100mb, so it might take a while to stream.

Note the amount of button mashing involved.

This is how high level mages function: We don’t use shot-base spells much. Most of our damage comes from rushes which means we need a decent melee weapon with high m.attack.

I pretty much have the best armor in terms of fire damage for most of my armor slots, and the weapon I’m using is around the 3rd-4th best mage weap for fire damage. I’m also abusing sharpshoot for additional damage.

Even so, I don’t do “9999″ damage unless I rushed a fully debuffed and petrified jack frost/those endless spawning momunofu in ichigaya silver.

All armor/weapon are fully enchanted, and weapon is nearly fully modified.

My damage will probably take quite a huge hit come 18th December, where damage for the rushes depend on both physical/magical attack and sharpshoot no longer adds magical damage.

Adelina is an alt I run on a second PC mainly too leech xp and provide enchantment buffs.

Also, note what my melee group mate is doing: spinning. The bulk of a melee’s damage comes from spinning once elemental weapons/enchants are available.

Hmm, getting an “Uups, not found” when trying the stream option, so I downloaded it :3 That’s such a chaos, compared to what I have to handle as melee @_@

I’m confused, though. Is Magic Rush affected by Strength or Magic, then? Because I pretty much pumped a lot into strength and not so much into magic, I think I might have screwed the build or something.

Finella, would you mind telling us what expertises/chain experts you went for your mage char?
I’m currently working on a mage but not sure what chain experts I should go with besides Magic Rush.

Prepatch, I went for a damage-centric build that abuses sharpshoot for damage against bosses:

Class 5 destructive magic (for magic rush)
Class 1 rush (for magic rush)
Class 5-5 control magic (for magic rush)
      Class 4-5 shoot (for sharpshoot)
Class 1-0 gun knowledge (for sharpshoot)
Class 2-5 devil knowledge (for sharpshoot)
      Class 3-0 curse (for curse)
      Class 1-0 blessing (for curse)
      Class 1-5 weapon knowledge

25k total. (Level 80 cap, 23k total require if you go for just 2-0 curse and drop weapon knowledge.)

      Resulting chain expert:
      4-0 magic rush
      3-0 sharp shoot
      3-3 curse
      3-1 magic bullet

The class/ranks in magic bullet are just a byproduct as sharp shoot/curse/magic bullet shares quite a few prerequisite skills.

3-0 sharp shoot was done purely for the +20% damage toggle against the final bosses in Suginami Gold and I went curse over enhance because I have an alt casting the +50% damage buffs.

It’s much better to go just for only enhance + magic rush unless you are sure that you will always be in a party with someone that can cast enhance.

Post patch, I’m just running curse and magic rush for chain expert skills, but I’m still in the midst of testing things.

Thanks for the overview, I’ll be sure to take the same route.

Also, out of curiosity, Adelina focuses on enchanting right?
I would like to now what enchanters need to be good at it.

  • Satoru says:

Actually never mind, I found the answers on gkwiki, but I was wonder how an enchanter is supposed to gain exp if you can’t double log?
My laptop isn’t good enough to handle 2 clients at once which means I can’t leech off my main character, which leads me to one question.
Is there enough skill points at least for Enchanting and Enhancing or no?
If not, how am I supposed to be useful for dungeon runs?

    • 大霊母Finella says:

There are technically enough points to learn SOME enhance to go with enchant. But at the end of the day, like everything else in this game, you need a dedicated character.

Most enchanters either leech their way to 90 or spend time as another build then reset their stats/skills after hitting the level required.

Do note that enchant is a very hard chain expert to skill up in, and there’s a need to skill up because every 2 ranks adds ~1% success chance.

Occultism, one of the main prerequisite for enchant is currently the slowest and most expensive skill to raise.

Even with +900% expert skill gain fragrance/clan bonuses etc… you gain around 70pts/30mins, and you spend ~30-40k.
