Just Exactly How Much Data is Given to Aeria?

So, word on the street is that the makka based reset items aren’t in the patch that Aeria just put up because Cave didn’t give them the necessary data…

1) The patch, v1.225u contains data/graphics for everything up till the 30th of April.
2) Yes, this means Cell gold junk is in there, albeit not translated.
3) A ton of the lottery stuff aren’t translated too and the general translation level is still pretty pathetic. Translation cut off point seems to be at the 12th of March mark.
4) The reset items ARE in-game.

These are the lethe water/bottle/hourglass that works on players below 30:

The graphic for those above 30 can be found at:

\Interface\tga\shop_I24_0079a.dds
\Interface\tga\shop_I24_0080a.dds
\Interface\tga\shop_I24_0071a.dds

Data for them can be found at the following position in /BinaryData/Shield/ItemData.bin

01d5
01d6
01d7

5) Runes are in, including those sold normally in stores:

Dear Aeria, please be serious about patching.

Hint: Trade list don’t lie. You might want to flag entries as not being able to appear on the trade list next time!

AND I thought CAVE is really morally depraved, cheapskate and greedy… No reset items so people go buy Rete Bottles/Waters? Money grubbing MAX. Now let’s see if Chirugai and Cenic5 will censor this.

    • 守護霊母Finella says:

Even without the makka base ones, they can easily credit some no-trade lethe water/bottles to each account. Obviously it’s too much work… for them to do so.

  • Some guy says:

Gee. All I ever see up here is you bitching about content, Aeria doesn’t do this and that. Maybe you should stick with Japan. They are the ones creating the content and dishing it out. Aeria can only request things. Not only that, but most gamers know that hosting companies never get everything detailed or explained when new content comes out.

    • 守護霊母Finella says:

Spoiler: I DON’T play on Aeria.

95% of my SMT related posts are about issues with the JP server, with a few posts mocking Aeria for being even more incompetent than Cave.

If a player can easily dissect their patch and find out what’s in or not, their technical staff BETTER be able to do the same.

Unlike most games, Imagine’s files aren’t encrypted; most are just binary files that can be easily text dumped since the data format is INCLUDED in \BinaryData\Shield.

Thanks for your advice though! I’ll play the JP version like what I’ve been doing for the past 2 1/2 years!

“hosting companies never get everything detailed or explained when new content comes out”

Language barrier too expensive to be bridged? I mean, duh, uhhh, I can read about latest update news on the main site, but yeah cant blame them, obviously fortune card and maintenance patch note is too cryptic and those things are too obscure to find.

And dont forget about how they choose their GM/Gamesage, I really doubt Chirugai and Cenic know this game more than we do.

Inb4, Chirugai posted “I dont use dodge or counter”, ha. megidolaon target party wiper is spotted.

I wish I took a screen cap of the SB just now, but as soon as someone pulled this entry out, the newest GS went right into defamatory mode. Anyway, this just proves my point that they do indeed have the info to release the weekly quests yet never bother to.

    • 守護霊母Finella says:

Everything is there, it’s just a matter of them releasing it or not.

Unlike relic pieces/sublimination crystal which might have text bugs yada yada, require a fix by Cave etc…

The reset stuff already exist and the “free” stuff calls the same effects internally as the AP/CP stuff, so no bugs should technically exist unless it’s a bug that affect the AP/CP version as well.

It’s a matter of whether they know it’s already there or not.

Besides, you’ve people like the joker above you defending them, so they’ll continue their practice…

Let’s bring out the ToS whenever someone voice their disagreement!

  • Tanarin says:

Heh, well some of us made a suggestion thread about the reset vouchers on the forum before the patch hit and today it was just locked. Mind you there is another thread which literally consists of /signed everywhere and it has yet to be locked.

So yeah, have fun bashing on this one.

    • 守護霊母Finella says:

Obviously it’s because of the link to my blog!

    • Andy H.K. says:

BS, so Aeria is hosting a different version of IMAGINE. Let’s call it SMT IMAGINE: rip-off edition.

Neither does Taiwan server have those >Lv30 reset item.

Are we forced to agree that Cave is actually quite generous compared to these foreign host?

and, BS no.2, how can there be any “actual development” when nobody else can post anymore?

      • 守護霊母Finella says:

This is all a keikaku by Cave to make the other companies look bad, so that players will play on the extreme CP powered JP server!
