Clarification of Various Fortune Card Items
Since I’m in a “good” mood, I’ll correct some of the weird misconceptions people have about the various lotteries on the JP server.
1) LNC China Dress
I don’t know when or where the rumor comes from, but the set is NOT female only. There are male AND female version of the costume.
Take a good look.
See those male characters? They aren’t drag kings!
The female version of the costume is head/top/shoes while the male version is top/bottom/shoes. Both grant a total of +15% to all damage AND -15% cast/cool.
The ONLY gender specific stuff are the maid, agent/doctor and death smile one.
2) Abyss set
No, the set neither give you charm/charm shot as a skill, nor does it give you curse of the wretch.
Just because they put up icons of the skills, doesn’t mean it grant it as a effect.
Effect are as follow
Glove: +3 m.def, +4% shot/rush/spin damage, +20% chance to land charm
Top: +5 m.def, +4% shot/rush/spin damage, +20% chance to land stone
Legs: +5 m.def, +7% shot/rush/spin damage, +2 str, +2 magic
Cloak, +3 m.def, +2 str, +2 magic, reduce cast time for traesto by 100%.
Like mothman/nekomata, the percentage listed here is added to your base land chance.
Nekomata + glove = 70% chance to land charm shots.
Mothman + Top = 20% chance to land stone and 50% chance to land amnesia. 10% chance to get hit by both etc… Have fun in PvP with this.
3) M.I
Rumors are the xp bonus don’t get applied to devils. Bzzz, wrong. Party xp bonus = your devils ARE affected as well, which is why lately, there are parties on the JP server who refuse to group with you, unless you’ve at least 2 piece of the armor.

Wonder why no one use enhance stones on the JP server either… oh wait, it last only 15sec and with human reaction factor it, you’ll get only 10sec or so out of it!
Lots of wierd crap(Rumours) go(es) around on the Aeria forums/game -_-
Lots of rumours circulate Aeria’s forums, and most of them are also false.
One of them being that JP got an extra 10k Expertise Points when JP changed the cap for some skills.
Though that rumour was destroyed today because of the recent patch.
The 10k “extra” is probably someone misinterpretation the raise of destruction magic to 10-0 after running the patch notes through a machine translation.
Let’s not forget those “my dog’s first cousin’s wife’s friends’ barber’s washing machine’s repairman’s aunt speaks Japanese and play the Japanese version and there’s a lot more acts/content/whatever there.”
Are the pvp weapons and armor the best thing to use, now that they are released?
They aren’t really the best as certain CP/AP items are better than them depending on slot/archtype/effects.
e.g. CP armor offer armor that gives resistance to all status effect, something that the Versus rewards don’t give.
There’s also the fact that after so many months of PvPing on the JP server, the current leader on the ranking board only has 191281 BP, hardly enough to trade for anything significant other than the glasses/glove/top.
any idea when the LNC China dress fc will be released in aeria servers? It looks really nice for a dd/cotw mage.
From memory the LNC didnt come till jan-feb/09 for them, Currently were still at roughly the rares from auguest-sept /08 that they were getting. So do the math on how much longer D:
We generally follow same release order of new stuff as J server, but randomly GMs might push 1 of the items earlier.
New lotteries are entering Aeria at a faster rate than the JP server as well.
We get 1 per week, with a bunch of hidden ones at times, while Aeria gets about 2 per week at least?
Don’t forget that Aeria has pretty much everything up till April, and they can easily release stuff as “top spender only”.
