Open Challenge to Aeria’s GM Team
Click on the image for a larger version.
According to GMXandamere, Imagine’s client is VERY awesome and can detect hacks etc… and will notify the GMs when changes are made.
The above image shows me modifying all Kahaku(aka Hua Po) to display Alice’s model instead of the regular one.
Find that account AND ban it. I’ve VERY clearly broke your ToS.
Timer starts now.~
It took me 15mins to do this “hack” so make my time worthwhile! Go ahead and actually ban that account!

God Fifi, not even 1 hour after I exposed some gifted GS’ cacas now you try THIS, are you trying to rain down on my parade? Uguuuuuu~~~… Spotlight Stealer!! But undoubtedly a very good one, youmoarsrsthanme (^ ^
*Anyway, dear our nice readers, told you few moments ago that this wont be pretty, and this time, she means it~
Place your bet now!
I need to unleash my stress on something since I’m god damn still compiling a report at 1am!
oh roffles! We can has “hack” instructions too? I want to replace Jiko with a pixie. :P
Woah, nice
I would to get on the Alice bandwagon only I could figured out how :p
I think it will take…… forever? Something like changing cilent files is near impossible to check…….. especially since Aeria “Has no control of the patch content they are getting” so to but in something to detect the changes in cilent files would be impossible no?
Well, the point is that Xandamere claims that Imagine’s client would detect the modification and inform them of violations to their salad tossing.
Since they like to toss their ToS around so much, use the ToS and BAN that account I used since they should already know that I modified something, right?
Hint: The client doesn’t work that way, and there are close to 0 security on even ImagineClient.exe itself.
Reason why most hacks won’t work is because movement/etc… are calculated server-side.
Will be fun if someone post a direct link to this post on their forums, and see how the respond to “hackings”.
Already more than 12 hours now, they banned you yet? Those GS/GMs are so failsauce… They sure make your time worthwhile.
Account still alive and kicking.
Fifi, look:

GMXandamere farted this from his mouth:

It’s not about giving an advantage for doing this particular alteration. It’s a couple of factors: first, the legal ramifications of allowing players to change the developer’s intellectual property at will, and second, once you start loosening filters to ignore changing certain types of files, you open the game up to all kinds of exploitation.
Also, I have worked at several companies in this industry, and I have played quite a few MMORPGs in my time as well, and I can think of many companies that disallow players from changing core game files. Any company that doesn’t is exposing itself to serious legal issues.

OH NOES, fifi, look at the legal ramimimimifications! You’re in serious caca! You’re going to end up in the birdhouse!
You’re loosening the moral filters and will exploit/hack the whole server by modifying the game folder files! Sighhhhh, RIGHT~~~~~
The fact that Shiki_Tohno and GMXandamere’s statement on what is called “hacking/breaking ToS” is actually contradicting Aeria’s own GS Kuenaimaku as well.
More funnies, Shiki_Tohno claimed the client detect changes in files and send data to squeal on the hacker.
As far as I can remember, I myself changed the battle music file myself with other music files few weeks ago. I changed it back to generic today for updating purpose, then I changed it back again. And? Yes, I can still play, no banning whatoever which means CAVE’s client doesnt send that kind of data.
Then, dear guys, what does this mean?? Since I’m not good at megaten coding tech craps then let’s ask the one who is.
yoohooo Finella, an honest question from a computer programming illiterate (^-^
Suppose Shiki_Tohno/GMXanax words are actually true, does this means Aeria can modify the game client exe? IF they have such programming privilege from CAVE, should they be able to fix the Nightmare Frost fiasco ASAP? Didn’t they claimed CAVE controls their game patches? SO, IF Aeria’s client can send datas that means Aeria is breaking the law by modifying the game client, right? I can see their pattern of contradicting themselves here….
Anyway, almost 24 hours, they should be able to ban Fifi if Shiki_Tohno/GMXandamere’s words were right. Ohohohoho~~~
Double posties~

Changing core game files? Isnt all calculations like drops and things are done server side? And I really dont wanna know what he actually meant by “I have worked at several companies in this industry” because judging by his statement on game client, he really sucks on this industry if a bored fansubber can challenge him openly this easy….
ImagineClient.exe doesn’t check for the integrity of any files, including itself.
Cave/Aeria’s server only check that ImagineClient.exe sent the correct version information to them.
That’s the extend of all the security checks employed in Imagine.
The only time when the integrity of any file is checked is during the patch process, something that you can ALWAYS skip.
tl;dr: Aeria/Cave has no way of telling whether anything is changed.
Again, the reason why there aren’t things like speed hacks is because pretty much everything is handled server-side.
You can send garbage data to the server but they won’t accept it.
I suppose by “detect modification” he meant the verification done by the client updater?
I myself replaced the battle bgm – the vanilla one sucks, generic percussion. it never got overwrited, even after Acknowledged patching.
Never get its looping though, different music got different starting position of 2nd loop, eg. not fixed at 00:30 etc. Also, musics with larger file size than the original one always end premature.
It passed? I thought they just match filesize, funny thing is the updater on my part always fail to open some random files plus size mismatch despite I never modded them, have to restart at least 5-6 times on each updating process. Updating hamster is fun.
Im sure they will get to this as fast as they do the rebates on the promos like in 7 – 10 days lol
