Patch Notes for the 20th of August

On one hand, they promise they’ll improve and yet, they come up with this bullshit…

New Comp-Hack Dungeon
- A new comp-hack dungeon has been added. You will need a hack chip alpha in order to enter it.
- Hack chip alpha are sold in the comp-shop at the following rates:
1 chip – 10 CP
5 chips – 45 CP
10 chips – 90 CP
- The chips will only be sold from the 20th of August until the 3rd of September. Use the chip to enter the dungeon.
- You can still able to enter the dungeon after the 3rd of September if you have the chips in your inventory.
- You’ll get a bonus 500 thousand XP and an item, Yitzirah Prime after you clear the dungeon.
- XP fragrances will increase the amount of bonus XP you get.
- After collecting a certain amount of Yitzirah Prime, you are able to exchange it for the plugin of a certain devil.
- You need to be at least level 30 to enter the dungeon.

Note: When you enter the dungeon, a status effect is cast on you. You’ll only get the rewards if you remove this status effect as part of the dungeon flow. You won’t be able to reenter the dungeon if you get disconnected from the server before this status effect is moved.

Note: This dungeon is meant for soloing. The dungeon won’t spawn if you’re in a party.

Note: Yitzirah Prime can only be exchanged for the plugin in September.

Escape from 3rd Home
- Event will be up from the 20th of August until the 10th of Sepember.
- Fulfill the request of Saburou and collect the cogs from the dungeons in order to exchange for various rewards.

Note: Cogs will be removed from the game after the event is over.

Bug fixes
- Fix a bug where devil request that requires you to kill Lucky Angels were unable to be completed.
- Change the graphical display for Re-13. A new weapon, Naska-55 has been added and it has the old graphic for Re-13.

New lottery.

Hurray, what we’ve been dreading off has happened. A CP/AP only dungeon… The bonus xp it gives is pretty much the same as one Jikokuten.

CP only plugin is pretty stupid too.

This week’s lottery gives us new face, glove and back slot items.

Come in fire, ice and magic (element) variants.

Glove gives +20% damage to that particular element.
Face gives +10% damage, +10% resistance and +1 to activation stack to skills of that particular element.
Back gives +15% resistance, +20% movement speed and 0.2% chance/level to void that particular element.

Movement speed cap of 150% still applies.

Also, apparently the entire trade list is down, so emergency patch is probably upcoming.

On another note, the new dungeon is in Ueno and is snake/dragon based.

… Is it alright to wish for Cave’s bankruptcy so that the SMT MMO license can go to someone intelligent?

    • Anna says:

You’re too late. Lots of JP players already wished for it to happen from long long time ago, till now too. Not only bankruptcy, some people also prayed for horrible deaths to the dev teams.

    • 守護霊母Finella says:

The irony of your comment is that Atlus tried to develop a SMT MMORPG but run into development (read $$$) issue and as a result, Atlus, Cave and Windysoft formed a new Cave subsidiary, Cave Online Entertainment to finish off Imagine’s development.

      • BlueJr says:

Imagine is finally moving into the direction other “free” MMOs have taken. CP devils don’t seem that bad, since devils are just heal slaves. The CP dungeon hurts a bit more, since we only have a handful of dungeons. At least it’s only for small periods of time.

The CP Hacks will probably only be a monthly or quarterly occurance.

Lets save some hate for when the new dungeon comes. We don’t want to waste it all on one topic.

      • Deberge says:

Let me see if I have this straight: Atlus had some financial problems while developing a SMT MMO in house. So Cave, a Japanese arcade shoot em up developer, and Windysoft, a Korean company that makes most of its income off the ports of Kunio/River City Ransom games and solo developed a not very successful MMO, formed the subsidiary that is responsible for the current situation.

If so that explains a lot.

They must be suicidal…cause all I see over and over is them killing the game. Really, they need to seek help or at least, grow some common and business sense. (oh but I suppose this is too much to ask for these days >.>) I’ve been playing JP Imagine for about a year. I took a few month hiatus and came back to a ghost town. There was a noticeable difference in the temperature and population. And alot of people I knew were gone.
Well, I think this sums up my feelings, “. . .”

  • Lilo! says:

Oh my… I started playing this game not long after Aeria gave Open Beta status to it’s version of it, and felt in love with it… Then I stopped for months coz’ of the griddin’ and last month, out of boredom and to free myself from my other MMORPG disease (RO…), re-started playing it.

… I Finally reached the dreaded Sugi-Gold-needy-state, my equips hold fine on Silver but anything above that is unthinkable without CP + MODs… And

argh, makka isn’t worth a thing anymore.

Really, when I stopped playing for the fun of the runs and decided to “level up” in order to keep on having fun, ALL THE FUN WAS GONE

(and I found your site, and here I am, and yadda yadda.)

Should I stop playing rite now? Dang, there aren’t any other MMOs or console games that I find nice to play nowadays… x_x

(meh, will just keep on playing Touhou on my spare time, then.)
