このブログ本来の目的はクランメンバーのために翻訳した文書を投稿した場所。だって自動翻訳サービスがMMO用語の翻訳をあまりうまく翻訳することできないし、アタシは2004年から日本語を英語に訳す経験もあるし…
時間がたつにつれて、ImagineDumpの作者のお蔭で、クライアントの分析ができました。此れは2007八月時のことです。
たくさんの情報が2chで上げましたという事実によって、ダメジ計算とかが発覚した。
アタシが其の結果を翻訳して、Globeのフォーラムに投稿。
Globeのフォーラムが開店休業状態になったあと、そこの情報がここを再投稿した。
なお、建設的な批評ならアタシにとっては大丈夫。だが其れ以外ははうんざりだ。
特に日本語が分からない奴とゲームシステムが不慣れな奴。
奴らは遠慮なく意見を述べた場合もよくある。

After giving it some though, I’ve decided to take down all the Imagine related stuff.
To Alcadeiass, JudgementStar, Just_here2, Watusa, RikkuHime and other people I fail to mention:
This has pretty much push me over the edge.
The original purpose of this blog was to dump up translated information, since translation services is severely lacking when it comes to MMO lingo, and I’ve experience dating back to 2004 when it comes to JP-> EN translations etc…
As time went by, thanks in part of coming in touch with ImagineDump’s author, I learnt how to dump the client files. This took place around August 2007.
During that period, I uploaded quite a bunch of date to 2ch and due to that, things like damage calculation were worked out.
I translated those results and they were initially posted up on Globe’s forum.
Those information were then reposted on my blog after activity on Globe’s forum pretty much died off.
Now, I welcome constructive criticism, but anything beyond that ticks me off.
Especially from people who don’t speak a lick of Japanese or know nuts about the mechanics behind the game.
This isn’t restricted just towards Imagine, it’s how I generally operate.

In addition, I’ve friends playing on Aeria as well, and they send me chatlogs, shout box logs etc… from time to time.

Yet. this dumbass effectively claim that what I said was wrong, based on information from gkwiki, a source that pretty much no Japanese speaking player of the game use.
It’s fine if it’s a one off incident, but he struck here again.
In this post, Alcadeiass corrected the misconception that Demonology reduced damage for the PC, by explaining that the reduction applies to the devil.
But that dumbass’ Japanese is too wonderful.

Even without testing, it’s painfully obvious from the wording alone that the damage reduction applies to your devils.
Also, a shoutout to Obsidian_Knight, a dumbass who claims he has the highest HP AND Crit on Aeria’s server. He has also “proof” that the modification tables are wrong.

before synthesize/DD was implemented (let alone enhance), there’s no such thing as mage one shot everything save for jacklanterns/cerberus with fire attacks.
except if they use incenses~. Plus, cats aggro on magic casting, fyi, me and fifi use devils casting magics to bait them all the time back then whe we have no DD.
melee on the other hand can spin a room once with 5-0 spin and then use cerberus’ hellfire for finishing touch without risking being cat foods.
about melee more shafted on madan,
1. melee can 1 hit elementals+power room with 5 slot answerer back then
2. gayblog spear
3. melee have access to almost elements damage due to diversity of CP weapons.
Add another fact on melee have spins to overcome counters while mages have to neutralize enemies’ counters with nakamas before DD, plus with spins and attacks it also makes them have strong aoe and single attacks of ALMOST EVERY elements which is a very advantageous versatility. madan? single target and no nerve, hama, mudo ones and weak. DD? reflect fest and only 4 elements.
the only things melee can’t stand are regal DD mages in pvp and all-physical reflecting mobs.
chain of curse? it’s the day when the server will die. ikebukuro on the other hand were promised like ancient times ago.

It wasn’t until I continued to visit and read for about a month or two that I realized there were OH-SO-USEFUL informationz such as info tables. Honestly, I’m so thankful you provided all of them but even without them your blog has just always been something I enjoyed reading for the way your write and often hilarious opinions.

Later on i found out that if you put the name “Finnella’s” in Google I found your site (yays for me). after reading through all the skill tables and such I really started to become better as a player. and i owe it to you guys.

I’m really sorry to read this… like shiki, I mostly lurked but I have been and avid reader of yours… however I’m going to speak out of the crowd (since you say you are OK with constructive criticism) and say that I think this is not a very good (I’m tempted to say “mature”) way to react to this kind of situation. I understand what ticked you off – also the question of principle behind it, despite the fact that all this is ultimately about a game – but being (or feeling) slighted by other people is something that happens continuously in life (unless I’m particularly unlucky) and acting like this does not seem a solution to me. I actually prefer to think there’s some other reason for this, since until recently you seemed to pretty much ignore/mock other flamers/trolls/ignorant people.
However, this is your blog so you are entitled to write in any language you want, or not write at all. I acknowledge and respect your decision.

I’d like you to point out where I am accusing someone in my post. I can read and I have read Finella’s post, including the links to the other “offences”. There will be always people that give out false information, there will always be people that will doubt you, and there will be always people that, sometimes inadvertently, will say rude things to you. More so on the internet.
My opinion is: this kind of reaction – if this is the only cause – is not a good solution. I wrote it because I felt I should say it. You are entitled to disagree with my opinion, and I am entitled to keep it. Well everyone pretty much expressed how sad a moment for SMT Imagine players this is. We basically lost our most reliable source for data-dumps, damage formulas and just plain fun sarcasm.
Truth be told you were amazing for spending some of your time to provide us with valuable and accurate information. I will definitely miss your blogs T-T as so will many others. It’s sad that we have to pay for what a few did but it is your decision and we must accept and respect that.

Sorry for the late response on this. I should’ve posted 2 months ago during this fiasco and I don’t know why I waited til now to say this but I couldn’t let this go without having my voice heard.
Finella, I would like to apologize to you for my actions a few months ago. After reading your post and re-reading what I typed on that topic, I agree that I do sound like a total douchebag by discrediting your translations like that. It was not my intention for it to come off as brutally harsh sounding as it did. I had never heard of Lucifuge, since I haven’t played any of the older games aside from Persona 2 EP (skipping a lot of it due to boring gameplay), so I thought it was the “GAMES” mistranslation of Lucifer like how they mistranslated “Mahama” to “Manma.” Since you were the source of the info, I can see how it would make it look like I was saying you were a fail translator. You’re not. In fact you’re damn good at it. Way better than I’ll ever hope to be.
I never got around to apologizing immediately because of your blog afterwards. Without giving me a chance to respond you decide to force an apology out of me by writing updates in Japanese. On top of that, you THEN went and deleted ALL of your information regarding Megaten and its updates. Even if you became slighted by my antics and those of others…how could you just alienate the people and friends who committed themselves to your blog on a daily basis that used the information in order to better themselves? Punish all because of one? That’s tasteless and immmature in my opinion. The fact that you still left this blog out in the open, after deleting everything else Megaten related, to get me to apologize only cements that thought. I don’t think anyone who does something childish like that needs to be treated like anything other than a child. So that’s where my reluctance to apologize initially comes from. Despite that, I remembered that behind all those snarky, sarcastic blogs is an actual human being that gets upset and offended just like myself. I mean I saw some players claiming that they have played in marvelous JP server with their marvelous “friends”, saying ceru gold is fun, seeing JP people is clamoring on the upcoming “new acts” in their mysterious JP forum, and also the fact that nobody mentioned in Aeria forums the current very dead PVE condition because of some significant nerfs, the upcoming all become one thing on Dec 17th, etc!

But because I made a thread about a new event on jp server 2 weeks before apologizing that immediately discredits it? I’m a pretty blunt person and have no need to lie. If I wanted Finella to return, I would have politely asked her to do so. However, since you’re pretty much talking for Finella I see that the apology goes unaccepted and she is doing EXACTLY what I said previously that she was waiting for me to apologize. Then when I do, it gets rejected because I share an interest in an upcoming huge game patch. Just like everybody else. So I don’t see how you could say I’m trying to save face when she is, in fact, being immature about it. :/

This is the applogy’s problem. diablo is calculating way too much, worrying far too intensively about admitting as little fault as possible on his account, but at the same time apologizing. That is done the following way:
Apologize moderately sincerely and admit that you were wrong.
Nonethless, imply that the other person has reacted inappropriatly which justifies the late apology.
