After 2 weeks and 10+ patches, plate costs are FINALLY fluctuating correctly…

Except it doesn’t work like how Remix claims.

Quoting what he said during the GM Q/A session:

Remix: From a system standpoint, the price of an item will increase or decrease according to the demand for it.
Remix: This is calculated at certain intervals.
Remix: For example, even though the Yagiya in Ichigaya is selling (Ichi Gold Plates) at 60k makka, the Yagiya at other places might be selling it at a different price during that time if they didn’t sell much (of those plates).
Remix: Bullets and some consumables are treated as exception and thus they aren’t affected.
Remix: Since an upper and lower bound is also implemented for the fluctuation, a plate can’t possibly cost more than 50k makka.

And we have this…

ichi silver is popular Post Patch Yada Yada (26th of Febuary 2010)

Normal plate cost for Ichigaya bronze, silver and gold are 2000, 7000 and 20000 respectively.

Obviously a ton lot of people run Ichigaya Silver and hence the price of the plates are pushed up to 12200.

Ichigaya bronze and gold are in turn not popular and hence the plates cost less.

Also note how Ichi Bronze plate shows a price increased arrow when the price is actually lower than before.

My theory on how price fluctuation works?

Prices is calculate every 6-8 hrs. Price can range from -50% to +100%. Demand etc… has nothing to do with the price. It’s completely random.

Ah well, at least Ichi Gold plates are no longer 60k a piece…

Silver Moon is STILL bugged. Probably best to just call it failure moon at this stage.

Aeria “we listen to the player” Uber Fun Server

Close to NOTHING has changed since this post.

0, zilch, null, nil.

The only change since then is SOME incense have been flagged as unusable on the PVP channel and that’s it.

Several incense are still actually usable in there. Don’t even have to use them prior to entering PVP.

Completely elimination of incenses from PVP is close to impossible with how the game works.

To quote myself from a previous post:

The following sequence takes place when you sign up for a PVP match:
- Channel change to PVP channel
- Invisible buff is cast on the PC to increase HP total
- Screen loads

Upon a match ending:
- Buff removed
- Channel change back
- Screen loads

Every skill effect that work on one channel, will work on another as they are based off the same code base.

Some of you will go: “Ah, but BP anti-xxx stuff works only in PVP!!!!one!!!111eleven!!”

But those incense still fall into the same rule as other items.

If you look at those BP anti stuff in detail, they have the effect disable when you log off/switch channel/yada yada tag to them.

That’s how BP anti stuff are removed: Upon a channel change.

IOWs, unless you want normal incense effect to disappear upon channel switching/logout/crashes etc… It’s impossible to only remove them upon entering a PVP area.

The 6hrs patch is most likely because Cave was too tied up with the JP server to send them the patch.

Side note: Chiaki etc ARE usable in PVP. It’s just that the COMMUNITY as a while outlaw them. Whoever says that they can’t be used in PVP are obvious liars.

I also like how Chiaki is claimed to be balance breaking while Haunting Scissors aka mistranslated as Necromancer’s Wrath is fine.

The death smile buff provided by it gives level*0.002*base strength/magic/speed or around 17 strength/magic/speed at level 90 with a maxed out base stat.

DD/MB obviously benefit from this more due to it boosting 2 combat stats from them, and all gunners variants gain additional cool/cast reduction due to the speed increase.

That’s at least a 3-5% damage difference for most classes, with gunner gaining cool/cast reduction as well.

Isn’t this an unfair advantage as well?

Other things to whine about instead of Chiaki:
- D.M.C skill from this guitar does a fix 4444 ALMIGHTY damage before damage boosts are applied. i.e. always hit for 9999 as long as you have a 2x+ total boost.;
- 0 cool (Hell, Cave went as far as to consider this a banable offense…)
- Imagine Breaker from Touma’s set which literally breaks Imagine.

etc etc etc…

Oh Fifi, so Chiaki skill is actually usable in PVP? That makes things just better. I’m eager to see the hell that will be unleashed in Aeria’s when they release the set,… oh wait, I won’t because it will be raffled and the QQ about it will eclipse all the rants about pvp being “unbalanced” xD
