Singing > Crappy Collaboration Event

Especially when the event is a major waste of time.
The wonderful collaboration event:
Desperately Seeking for Alice
- Talk to guard at 3rd home
- Talk to Yuuki
- Kill crap in Suginami for Mahjong cards
- Trade in the cards for other cards.
- Other cards are useless now, since the next quest isn’t implemented yet.
The reward, once part 2 etc is implemented is a 0 base stats, -30% cool, +10 crit prevention, + 10% melee/magic/gun damage to devil staff.
BUT, if you spend 300 CP, you can get a better version of the staff without doing the quest!
The better version of the staff has: -10% cool, +10 crit prevention, -5% melee/magic/gun damage taken, + 10% melee/magic/gun damage to devil, +20 crit to devil.
This week’s lottery features for the first time, items that grants massive amount of damage reduction.
The slot 3 bonus for the 5 armor parts add up to -34% melee/magic/gun damage taken.
34% + 50% from LoA = 84% reduction from all damage without even using any incense of protection.

New FCs getting worse. >.>
Could any of these new sets possibly look worse? What happened to them developing new outfits that fit the SMT-atmosphere? First we get Kappas and now this?
At this point they might as well just rename the game and remove SMT from the title altogether; at least then the hardcore series fans will have a reason to quit <_<
>> SMT-atmosphere
Imagine has as much to do with SMT canon as a Yaoi Doujinshi featuring a Jack Frost having “fun” with a Pyro Jack… i.e. little to none.
The last set that looks somewhat like it fits in SMT is… Sentinel?
Ever since chaos suit appear, it’s pretty much reduced to a glorified cosplaying game with some random bits resembling SMT thrown in to it.
InDuring people who hasn’t touch a single classic SMT game going “But Imagine take place between SMT1 and SMT2!!!!one!!eleven111!”
Next we know Cave will be doing a collab with Jump for a One Piece crossover… =p
I wonder if DDO is worth trying s: doesn’t look like it’s worth the hassle to learn the system.
an insight from a dnd total noob like me:
i myself dont really know the system like what is base atk bonus, critical modifier or prestige classes or whatever is all about but using common sense we can see what thing is the thing. like spell that allows reflex save means that spell will be easily avoided by high dex enemies thus it’s better to use will/fortitude save spells against them, spell that allows no save means surefire damage no matter what, higher dex grants more armor class which makes things harder to hit, etc etc.
pretty much anyone can get by if they read the every description of everything properly.
tbh, i dont even know what 2d10 damage means until somebody in server chat told me it means 2 dice with 10 sides which equally means min damage 2 max damage 20…
of which things to do to get your char right i usually research the forum and stuffs and surprisingly unlike in an mmo forum we all know the people there really know what they are talking about, the rest is just experiment and common sense (like casting disease/poison spell to undead mobs is moot)
BUT the most important thing IS the guild airshiipppp /swoon, i mean as a guild we can actually have an airship like those final fantasy things and travel anywhere and we can have drinking bars, helmsman and stuff /excited
PS: Fifi, i made a pretty rog/wiz to lv 2, the name is Annayya La Diva (a tribute to our dear mathias)
My bard’s already level 4, and I dual-box a wiz/rog to 3 last night in 2hrs as an experiment.
Hohoho~
they have follow mode now?
Auto run + dual-wield keyboards.
Adding to what Anna said, if you can stand Imagine’s archaic system where just about every game mechanism is hidden or vague in detail, you already know enough to last in 99.99% of the MMORPGs out there, be it WoW, Aion, DDO or whatever since things are actually properly documented in those games.
I’m kind of burnt out from doing ICC in WoW with guilds losing members etc etc…, and Catalysm going to be more of the same.
The only other MMORPG at this point which seems remotely decent to me is DDO since at its core, DDO is still a P2P game.
Hence, why I’m playing DDO for now, at least till SW: TOR, FFXIV or Rift gets released.
FFXIV has a ton of pressing UI issues to fix though since it’s pretty hard to play with a keyboard/mouse control scheme. Inb4 FFXIV Windower.
SW: TOR looks less and less interesting the more information about it appears… Bioware might be concentrating too much on the lore/voice acting aspect and the gameplay seems to be suffering.

Rift’s presentation at E3 was pretty solid, and they have Gallenite, aka Scott Hartsman working on it.
Scott single-handedly turn EQ2 from a commercial failure to a moderate success, so I’ve good hopes for Rift.

tl;dr: experiment around now. Better than seeing Imagine die slowly.
rift is like aion… you know, angel vs devil, elyos vs asmo, elementalist with summoned elemental like spiritmaster etc etc….
2 factions in MMORPG is as old as time.
Rift’s class(soul) system though is fairly complex desk.
1 main class + up to 2 other sub-classes, and can freely swap sub-classes around.
i.e. You can make a sneaky wizard like your DDO wiz/rog and switch to wiz/clr when healing is needed.
I’m probably just take a break from serious MMO playing until FFXIV but even then I’ll be playing that on my console since my PC would probably blow up.
Thanks for the heads up on Rift! It looks like a more interesting version of Aion for sure. Aion character growth is so copy paste even with manastone/stigma stone options that it really does always become a battle of better gear/stun fest. The instances are also zzzz. In Rift, seems like players will have more purpose behind playing than the usual brainless grind-farm. FFXIV is still top of my list but the mechanics and storyline of Rift are too interesting to ignore. Now if only they’d hint at some sort of future ship travel system… >:3
sigh, and here i am trying ranger, fighter, cleric, rogue on multiple servers… waiting for fifi’s bard to reach lv 6 or 7~
My bard had enough xp to hit level 6 since Saturday you dumb dumb.
And my cleric is 30k to level 9…
So, what would be of use on Thelanis? I’m getting kind of bored of my clr/ftr… well ok nah, it’s probably the fact that my guild mates have proven to be -more- suicidal and useless than my hireling x( “CLERIC HEAL! CLERIC HEAL!” if only I could suddenly engage PVP and axe rape someone to death on bless+bull’s strength+versatility enhancements myself.
Well, whatever you want.
Lately I’m dual-boxing a cleric + wiz/rog or bard + wiz/rog combination, and that pretty much all grounds, especially with hirelings, if Anna is actually playing instead of schlicking off a Twilight fanfic…
how could you accuse me of such atrocity! I’m having trouble updating as the stupid progress bvar stuck at 1005 somewhere (T-T
The truth is out there.
*cue X-files’ theme*
reinstalling the whole thing …
Made Chriis Of’Rased, future highest mightiest holy head honcho (dunno if you’ll get the Demon Diary reference ^.^;;)
Added you to my cleric and bard’s friend list.
