Kongorikishi
Wonder why close to zero information about Ikebukuro pops up on Aeria considering that public access to it has been enabled for 2 weeks. Guess all the “JP players” are busy farming ice.
Also wonder how many SMT “fans” are able to catch the reference in the title of this post.
Patch notes and other Imagine-related stuff are embedded in this post somewhere.

- No maps when you first enter the area, i.e. like Shinagawa/Ueno. Map obtained via a quest. Will be explained later.
- There are a Jakyou, Yagiya, Casino, 2 Expert Dwarfs, a bunch of other NPCs and a Terminal in East Ikebukuro
- There are 2 punks near a barricade and a Terminal in South Ikebukuro
- South Ikebukuro is linked to Shinjuku Babal, and East Ikebukuro is in turn linked to South Ikebukuro.
- South Ikebukuro is accessed from the Northeastern gate in Shinjuku Babel
- You need to complete a “quest” to get pass the barricade and access the rest of Ikebukuro. Will be explained later.
- A new currency, Kreuv is used in Ikebukuro.
- Quest in there gives Kreuv as a reward instead of Makka, and Makka can also be exchanged for Kreuv at the Yagiya.
* 1 Kreuv : 3000 Makka
Casino
- A quest is needed before access to the casino is granted. Will be explained later.
- You can buy casino coins with Kreuv at the casino. However a lockout is enforced after each purchase, and you can only purchase additional coins after the lockout has expired.
* 500 coins – 50 Kreuv (3 hrs lockout)
* 1000 coins – 99 Kreuv (6 hrs lockout)
* 2000 coins – 196 Kreuv (12 hrs lockout)
* 4000 coins – 388 Kreuv (24 hrs lockout)
- There is currently only 1 card game in the casino, and I’m too lazy to explain the rules.
- Possible casino rewards are as follow:
* Orb of Contract (Absolute) – 666,666,666 coins (Used in Devil Force to grant a passive that gives 100% to void all physical attacks)
* Seiryuu’s Plugin – 1,000,000 coins
* A random devil zodiac stone – 30,000 coins
* A random large rune stone – 2,600 coins
* Orb of Contract (Revolving) – 500 coins (+1 to benefit gauge for devil force)
* Blend Eternal Alpha – 300 coins (Raise the great success chance for an item mixing attempt to 100%)
* 5x random gold and 10x random silver item mixing ingredients – 120 coins
* Bloodstone of Raktavija – 100 coins (Used in Ikebukuro’s Jakyou, explained later)
* Ymir’s Soil – 25 coins (Used in Ikebukuro for Spirit Diffusion, explained later)
* 5x Orbs of Rapidity – 10 coins (The 1.2x, 5mins self ones)
Expert Dwarfs/Spirit Diffusion
- Inb4 Spiritual Unmixing
- Need to complete a quest first before you can perform spirit diffusion. Will be explained later
- Able to split an item that is already spirit infused into the 2/3 items that were used to form the infused item.
- All slots are LOST, except items that have fixed amount of slots, i.e. CP items.
* Note that diffusion is currently bugged and it’ll sometimes eat the slots of non-CP, non-craftable items that have fixed amount of slots, e.g. Death Summoning Axe.
- All tarots/soul stones are LOST.
- All modifications are LOST.
- Failure still result in the item being split to 2/3 items, but the items will have drastically reduced max durability.
- Success rate calculation differs from normal spirit infusion.
* Exact calculation not figured out yet, and I’m not really bothered to spend time testing it, unless someone is willing to pay me to do that…
* Base success rate is ~26% and it seems to be affected solely by survival tech/dwarf summoned, unlike normal spirit infusion.
* A swordsmithing character that has 100% spirit infusion chance only has ~45% success rate for diffusion.
- Kreuv and Ymir’s Soil are needed to perform a diffusion.
- Base cost if all 3 items used are CP is 60 Kreuv and 600 Ymir’s Soil
* 600 x 25 => 15000 coins. 388/4000 = 0.097 Kreuv/coin. 0.097 * 15000 => 1455 Kreuv
* 60 + 1455 Kreuv => 1515 Kreuv
* 1515 * 3000 => 4,545,000 Makka, assuming no gambling involve.
- If a non-CP item is used, the follow calculation is used:
Kreuv = (Selling Price of 3 items)/5000
Ymir’s Soil = 10 x Kreuv
Much like Spirit Infusion, CP items are treated as 100k for their selling price.
Ikebukuro’s Jakyou
- You are able to perform a solo Tri-Fusion in Ikebukuro
* Need a Bloodstone of Raktavija for each attempt
* Payment is in Kreuv instead of Makka
* Usual fusion rules applies
* Friendship level for all devils involved must be at max.
- You are also able to perform a special 2x Fusion in Ikebukuro
* Payment is in Kreuv instead of Makka
* Sucess rate is increased
* Usual fusion rules applies
* Friendship level must be good friends and above, i.e. same as normal tri-fuse.
New Quest
There are 12 new quests total.
- A New World
Give 10 rubies or 5 scarlet stones (the red stones from Catacombs) to the punk at the barricade in South Ikebukuro C-Class DB License needed to activate the quest.
- Day to Reform Gold
Indirect Continuation of the Shinjuku field’s gambler/Ba Gua Dice quest and Alice Card Collector quest.
1) Gather 2000 gold for Gambler, Kino
2) You’ll gain access and additional rewards depending on whether you’ve complete the other two quest before.
Cannot be repeated. Additional rewards are key items from the previous two quest and/or 5-10 Kreuv.
- An Unreasonable World
1) Talk to a punk in East Ikebukuro
2) Run around East Ikebukuro like a lost sheep to find 3 punks and talk to them
3) Report back for the map
- Back to its Original Form
1) Find Ymir’s Soil for the Expert Dwarfs
2) The end
- A Pathetic World
1) Talk to Wen in East Ikebukuro
2) Kill punks for 5 bottles of Apple Beer
3) The end, you can now turn in a bottle of Apple Beer to warp between East/South Ikebukuro
The other quests are repeatable DHL style stuff.
i.e.
1) Talk to NPC
2) Kill xxx yyy number of times based on NPC list
3) Get 1 Kreuv or some memories in return.
4) Repeatable 6/20hrs depending on the quest.

All in all, despite all the hype cooked up by Cave, Ikebukuro is disappointing.
It took me ~two hours to consume pretty much all of the content and new quest, and at least an hour or more was wasted in the quest for the map.
There’s still no new hunting ground other than Ichi/Cell/Sugi Gold for a level 90+ player.
The map is pretty buggy at some places too. It’s quite easy to fall under the world or get stuck, making traesto a necessary.
The next installment of CoC isn’t implemented even though Archbishop/Shinkawa yak on about how they have tons of acts planned and will update it frequently.
It’s already four months since the second installment of CoC and considering their release schedule for their Cornafest event doesn’t show any CoC stuff in August, earliest CoC3 might come in is in early September, i.e. half a year since CoC2,
Watch as CoC’s release speed slow down to match that of the main episode: a new one every few years…
Now for the boring patch notes…

Escape From 3rd Home
Escape from 3rd home this time is… dumb.
Saburou wants gems/5x cups this time instead of elements.
71+ requires 3 diamond or 5 rubies for 1 forged access card, or a 5x cup for 4 forged access card.
C route -> Clear ~10 jack frost (163 HP each), then kill the king frost (399 HP) that spawns.
B route -> Kill Kinki, Suiki and Fuuki, same version as Shinjuku Field (~20k HP each).
Then things go into the extreme end…
A route -> Kill Stop me and Ponder, Omoikane within 5 mins. Failure to do so will result in ~20 Snakeman’s Ultimate Weapon, Omoikane to spawn.
Stop me and Ponder, Omoikane takes 1 damage from everything except critical damage.
Has ~3m HP and has the usual Omoikane resistance, i.e. void all magic, weak to default melee attacks/handguns
Has no skills, but can be knocked back normally. Regen ~1k hp/tick.
Low crit/no LB = cannot be kill.
The ultimate weapons has the same amount of HP, but can be damaged normally. They however have an offensive skill: an AE suicide and due to their high HP, it’s an instant KO.
S on the other hand isn’t as stupid as A.
S Route, Wave 1: numerous Oni.
These Oni are pretty much the same as your regular ones, only have ~625 HP and the only offensive skill they have is punch, rampage and fire breath.
S Route, Wave 2: Kinki, Suiki and Fuuki
Same as B Route
S Route, Wave 3: Ongyouki x 2
Each of these Ongyouki have ~70k HP.
One has 50% chance to void all physical attacks, 100% chance to void slash/blunt/pierce/handgun/rifle/shotgun/mystical/mind/death and resist everything else, weak to expel.
The other has 50% chance to void all magical attacks, 100% chance to void fire/ice/electric/force/mystical/mind/death and resist everything else, weak to expel.
Both have the usual Ongyouki boss’ skill list.
Rewards (still incomplete):
C route
- XP: 20k XP
- Item:
* group xp ashes x3
* jack card
B route
- XP: 300k XP
- Item:
* group xp ashes x5
* queen card
* one of the G1 trial memory (except power’s)
* group 30mins 1.5x speed orbs (cannot be traded)
* +100% expert skill gain for 24hrs incense
A route
- XP: 600k XP
- Item
* group xp ashes x10 (Fin: No one wants to do A, hence known loot list is very limited)
S route
- XP: 1m XP
* group xp ashes x10
* queen card
* one of the G1 trial memory (including power’s)
* one of the Junkerman’s memory
* group 30mins 1.5x speed orbs (cannot be traded)
* +100% expert skill gain for 24hrs incense
* one of the death summoning weapon (normal version)
* Sugi Gold hacking program (forces treasure box floor to spawn 100% of the time)
* Trapezohedron x 10
* Trapezohedron x 20
* Security Card (Unknown)
* Relic Piece: She Mao
* group 30mins 1.5x speed orbs (cannot be traded)
* +100% expert skill gain for 24hrs incense
* Summoning orb
* Soul Stone: Ophiuchus
Completing any of the route will give an item, Saburou’s Bullet, which is used as a completion counter for Coronafest.

So really nothing that interesting … thats really dissapointing.
Ikebukuro itself seems like a huge macca pit more than anything, I guess that if it ever gets implemented over here I’ll just go there for the DCMs.
By the way, could you please translate the latest cornafest update? By looking at it, it just seems to be screaming Diaspora in Nakano, but there is something else with STEVEN there.
Thanks.
Well, it’s Cave. Disappointment is expected.
Anyway:
1) Next part of the kappa event will be in Nakano with some blah blah blah lore.
2) Electronic corridor event in 3rd Home’s loading area, which is most likely a COMP-Hack style dungeon.
Both starts on the 12th of August, i.e. next upcoming patch.
Detail yada yada to be out later.
I see, thanks.
Could you post a picture of what the human mobs look like please? I’m curious as to what they look like, Frenzied Gaian mobs taken into account and all.

The 3rd screenshot. All of them look like that.
